The focus on content was a major value of the INMA World Congress of News Media for Chantel Erfort Manuel, editor at Cape Community Newspapers.
“I’ve always believed that it doesn’t matter what we are offering our audiences — content is the most important thing,” Manuel said. “And there has to be that focus on content excellence.”
She also found the focused discussion on local audiences and how to be of use to local advertisers helpful.
“In my line of business, they are our bread and butter,” she said. “We daily focus on those local advertisers and readers.”
