The extinction-level event that is the emergence of generative AI is fundamentally re-arranging how content is surfaced, discovered, and consumed.
In this groundbreaking week of conference and study tour, delivered in a way that only INMA can, go behind the scenes to:
How should news organisations strategically navigate the new AI landscape and the LLMs that are carving up the space? With whom should you partner? Should you play it safe with Big Tech or pivot to Small Tech?
INMA aims to bring together key players and key insights into one time-efficient, high-impact conference and a study tour that puts you front row for AI innovation.
Designed for: C-suite professionals interested in developing strategies and business models, notably AI managers, chief technology officers, and chief product officers
Historical foundations related to academia, government, the military, and semiconductors are the building blocks for an innovation culture of entrepreneurship, risk-taking, and talent second to none worldwide.
From these foundations in San Francisco and, later, Silicon Valley, came venture capital, tech companies, and start-ups – and now AI and machine learning development through research institutions, Big Tech investment, and access to data.
The close proximity of companies and talent created synergies that fuel innovation and attract the “best of the best” engineers and entrepreneurs from around the world.
A note from Jodie Hopperton
Dear Colleague,
We are in a time of radical, not incremental, change in the news media industry. In this inaugural INMA Media Tech and AI Conference and Study Tour, we will go deep into everything you need to know to survive and thrive during the radical change that is fast approaching: the world of AI.
In October 2025, we will meet in the heart of technological change, Silicon Valley. The week has two parts: a two-day leaders’ conference, preceded by an optional executive study tour of closed-door visits to tech companies.
We expect 100+ media professionals in the realm of product, technology, and strategy, and we will invite 50+ speakers on our stages — from the technology industry pioneers to leaders and innovators, from academic researchers to consumer marketing experts and thought leaders.
I’ve been told by INMA members that there is no sufficient media-focused stage for professionals charged with navigating us through these technological waters.
There is now.
Budget your time and resources to attend INMA’s Media Tech and AI Week in San Francisco.
Don’t just take our word for it. This is what participants said about INMA’s California study tours of AI and tech players from the past two years:
“The program was just great, and so well delivered that we had a lot of insights and impulses … overall one of the best tours I made so far in many years.”
“Small group, opportunity to discuss things and get beyond nice slides. Great content & great host.”
“It was well planned, and the format is excellent for ‘real’ learning and inspiration (i.e. not "lecture" format, but interactions). The best speakers and sessions were absolutely brilliant, relevant, and thought-provoking. The company and attention to detail were lovely.”
“If you’ve never attended a study tour with INMA I could not recommend it more. We saw far more insights last week than we usually would at even the best conferences.”
“High-level participants and meetings. Very deep discussions on the subject and good leadership from the INMA team.”
“Genuinely one of the best event experiences I have ever attended – far better than any conference.”
“Informative, insightful, thought-provoking, so much bang for your buck and a group of INMA people (and attendees) I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with.”
“It was a wonderful, extreme experience. Amazing cohort and warm hospitality. The access to top-level expertise and insights.”
