Why apply for the Africa Elevate Scholarship?

Do you love news media and aim to make it a career, yet lack enough on-the-job training and practical education? Do you want to better understand how to better connect the passion of journalism with the business acumen to have influence and impact on your society?

The Africa Elevate Scholarship programme is specifically designed to provide a leg-up for talented people – to elevate careers with a spark that INMA is uniquely in a position to provide.

INMA is about the business of journalism. And we seek to provide a portal to opportunities whether your future interest is audience development, product & tech, advertising, marketing, or data.

What participants will get

  • Understanding the business of media
  • Navigating the corridors of power in media
  • What to know now about digital transformation
  • How AI is being deployed at media companies

✓ Access to livestream virtual modules and recordings

✓ Recognition of your selection to the programme

✓ Certification after verified completion of all four modules

Do you qualify?

Successful applicants will be employed by a news media organisation in Africa, under the age of 35, in the news industry less than 5 years, and demonstrate a need for on-the-job training and education. The class will be capped at 75 applicants. Click here for all qualifications.
