Held days before the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Conference in Austin, the INMA Mobile Summit will be held at the Austin American-Statesman.
Key topics to be covered at the INMA Mobile Summit include:
- The future state of mobile, including wearables, and where news publishers fit in that future.
- Current and target audiences, adoption rates, and how to market to them.
- How to use smartphones and phablets as bridges between news brands and Millennials.
- Best practices among news publishers and technology firms in mobile.
The INMA Mobile Summit programme will include an afternoon study tour of Austin’s technology scene, including established Digital Age companies and up-and-coming shops with big ideas about the future.
“Our aim is an outside-the-box event that mixes legacy publishers and technology pure-plays, traditional presentations and visits to mobile innovators in Austin’s Silicon Hills,” said Earl J. Wilkinson, executive director and CEO of INMA. “Mobile is a fast-moving field for news media companies, and INMA wants to help publishers stay up to date with this unique summit.”
