Takeaways from Hybrid Events from The Wall Street Journal
Presented by Gabrielle Doyle, Director, Strategic Initiatives and Leigh Gilmore, General Manager, Live Journalism, The Wall Street Journal
About this Webinar
When the coronavirus pandemic hit the United States in March 2020, it turned the entire events industry upside down. Like many others, the WSJ events team was planning and producing virtual events for the very first time.
The team quickly was tasked with delivering The Wall Street Journal's trusted journalism and content to its professional network of decision makers, while also pivoting its entire event portfolio to a new virtual format.
Crossing the one-year mark since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic was a milestone for The Wall Street Journal’s event business. The transition to virtual presented a unique opportunity to foster growth in audience scale and reach, secure a diverse range of speakers, create new content offerings and new revenue streams, and leverage technology in innovative ways.
Join Leigh Gilmore, general manager of live journalism and events, and Gaby Doyle, director of strategic initiatives/live journalism, as they discuss how the learnings from the last year resulted in being more tech-forward than ever at this year's hybrid Future of Everything Festival, and how they'll go above and beyond the hybrid experience with Tech Live, their premier technology conference in October.
