Politico has been in the podcasting business for years but recalibrated its strategy as interest in audio – from both audiences and competitors – mushroomed in the last two years. As the number of new shows has easily outpaced the growth in listenership, there is emerging a world of haves and have-nots for publishers getting into audio for the first time.
