About this Webinar
How to communicate and contextualize data insights to your newsroom – including which metrics to highlight and what data visualisations tell the best story – is the focus of this INMA Newsroom Transformation Initiative Webinar.
Understanding what stories resonate with audiences is critical to the success of any newsroom, but oftentimes leaders struggle to translate data insights into action plans. In this Webinar, we’ll delve into how using data insights successfully can improve reporters’ pitches, editors’ commissions and overall newsroom strategy.
The Webinar will feature:

She says she is interested in helping media companies develop new digital strategies and tools to engage audiences and stand out in covering issues they care about.
- Tess Jeffers, director of newsroom data and AI at The Wall Street Journal. Tess leads a team of data scientists and data analysts building newsroom dashboards, content insights, and AI models. Her recent projects include revamping the Journal's suite of newsroom metrics, orchestrating data pipelines for real-time data, and deploying AI models to automate the newsroom's consumer taxonomy.
The Webinar will be moderated by Amalie Nash, INMA’s Newsroom Transformation Initiative Lead.
