How to Build a Chat Product for News

Presented by Bernd Volf, Ringier MediaTech, Steve Henn, Stanford University and Alex Goldmark, Planet Money, NPR

About this Webinar

How to build a chat product for news is the focus of an INMA Product + Tech Initiative Webinar featuring Bernd Volf, managing director, CPO & CTO, Ringier MediaTech, Steve Henn, entrepreneur-in-residence, Brown Institute at Stanford University, and Alex Goldmark, executive producer, Planet Money, NPR.

We’ve been talking about AI for a while. One of the most obvious use cases for products is chat. But what is the business case? How does chat integrate into a user journey? What are the cost implications? And the likely ROI? That’s before we start thinking about what it takes to build a chat product.

In this session, we will hear from one of the first teams to create a chat product for news —NPR’s Planet Money bot. We’ll also talk to Bernd at Ringier MediaTech, who has done the research, developed short- and long-term hypotheses, written the business plan, and is now in implementation phase.

We’ll leave plenty of time for questions and discussion on this hot topic.
