The INMA Mobile Strategies Conference will burrow into the “power of being untethered” – mobile content, mobile advertising, mobile video, mobile business models, and mobile platforms. The program will feature practical case studies along with keynotes on future trends and best practices outside the media business.
Key conference topics will include:
- Global trends in mobile applied to news media companies.
- How to evaluate your relationship with Snapchat, Google, Facebook, Apple, and Twitter in terms of distributed content.
- Overcoming obstacles such as ad blocking with native or programmatic advertising.
- Exceptional user experiences with new tech and examples from other industries.
- Monetizing via m-couponing, m-payments, m-commerce, and m-loyalty.
- How to use mobile as a bridge between news brands and Millennials.
The two-day conference will conclude with a half-day study tour of Microsoft’s global headquarters in suburban Seattle, offering INMA members an inside look at the culture, technology, and ethos that drives one of the world’s largest companies.
“From the conference to the study tour to simply being inside the Microsoft culture, prepare to be inspired by the innovation, be wowed by the technology, and be amazed by the experience,” said Earl J. Wilkinson, executive director and CEO of INMA. “We know how vitally important accelerating knowledge development in the mobile space is to news publishers, and we are thrilled to partner with Microsoft on this venture.
“The Microsoft connection is the latest INMA outreach to the global players and platforms that are impacting news media companies and who want to connect with publishers,” Wilkinson said.
The Mobile Strategies Conference is produced by the INMA North America Division Board of Directors.
