Overview of this campaign

Our objective was to provide a Covid-19 news portal to South Africans that combats misinformation and fake news on such a sensitive topic that continues to affect the entire world. We aimed to keep our readers well informed on all aspects of the pandemic becoming a trusted news source for breaking news, vaccinations, breakthrough studies and treatments, along with government, healthcare and national disaster coverage.

Our campaign looked at ways to assist our readers through challenging hard-lockdowns with a focus on mental health as well as Lockdown related DIY and How-to content assisting in a variety of ways such as working from home, how to keep your children busy during lockdown and easy homemade health tonic recipes.



Results for this campaign

Our campaign achieved over 1 400 unique pieces of content, covering all angles of Covid-19 with some categories such as breaking news, lockdown tips, sport, DIY, explainers, data, treatment and travel.

Coronavirus Monitor has achieved 405 000 unique page views with a user-base of over 267 000 returning readers.
