Roundtable venue

The CEO Roundtable will be held at the Sonnenalp Hotel, located at 20 Vail Road in Vail, Colorado. INMA strongly recommends booking your sleeping room at The Sonnenalp.

How to reserve your hotel room

INMA has negotiated a special room rate of US$345+ per night at The Sonnenalp. This rate is available August 16-20, 2024, on a space-available basis. Before or after these dates, sleeping rooms at The Sonnenalp may be available at market rates. It is strongly recommended to reserve your Sonnenalp sleeping room early as the room block is expected to sell out. Most attendees will arrive Monday, August 17, and depart Friday, August 21.

To reserve your Sonnenalp sleeping room, telephone +1 800 654-8312 or +1 970 476-5656.

If a Sonnenalp sellout occurs, there are plenty of hotels in Vail.

What is the attire?

Smart casual attire encouraged (jeans, tennis shoes, no jackets needed)

What is included?

The Roundtable at Vail is an invitation-only free event for representatives of INMA’s community of news media companies. The event includes Roundtable sessions, the Tuesday welcome reception, lunches and breaks, and the Thursday evening dinner small-group dinners. The pre-Roundtable hike outing is free.

Hotel rooms, breakfasts, parking, and transportation should be paid separately.

What can my spouse/partner attend?

Spouses and partners are integral to the success of our participants and are welcome to attend the Tuesday evening welcome reception, Wednesday's bowling reception, and Thursday evening small-group dinners, as well as the Tuesday morning optional hike. Please let INMA know in advance your plans.

About the hike

For those who prefer to experience hiking at altitude, plan to join your peers on a group hike Tuesday morning. We will conduct three professionally guided hikes: advanced, intermediate, and moderate. The hikes will depart the Sonnenalp via sprinters at 9:00 a.m. For a more relaxed experience, join a casual group walk with a gondola ride to the top of Vail Mountain on relatively flat surface trails. The casual walk departs the Sonnenalp at 10:00 a.m. Please allot three hours for both the hike and walk. Hiking shoes are highly recommended. This is a free activity.

What will the weather be like?

Expect summer temperatures of between 50°F at night and 80°F during the day (10°C to 27°C). While Vail summers are not humid, a sunny day can make things warm — so dress for these extremes. Bring sunscreen and a hat.

Cancellations and substitutions

Because this is an invitation-only event, there are no invitation transfers. If there is a cancellation, then waiting list participants from other companies will be added to the attendee list.
