What does it mean to transform your newsroom? How will you know when your newsroom has transformed?
These are the questions we asked ourselves at the beginning of the year when we added “transformation” to the name of the Newsroom Transformation Initiative. We knew then — as we do today — that transformation in the media industry does not have a start and an end date. But it does have important markers of success.
In this sweeping, end-of-year town hall for the initiative, INMA will spotlight and reinforce insights and lessons learned through the year –– from the importance of measuring the right data to centering audience in your content strategy.
This pre-holiday, two-hour event on Monday, December 16, will cover the key insights, case studies and lessons learned throughout the year. We’ll also offer a preview on what’s to come in the Newsroom Transformation Initiative in 2025.
The Newsroom Transformation Town Hall by the International News Media Association (INMA) represents a report card to members and the news industry we serve about what our network has learned in 2024 about the most important subject in media. The Newsroom Transformation Town Hall is based on the learnings distilled by Amalie Nash, Newsroom Transformation Initiative lead for INMA, through a year that has included nearly a dozen Webinars, a master class, report and twice-monthly newsletters.
