Generative AI burst on the scene with a bang two years ago, scattering opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness across the news media industry. What have we learned about taking full advantage of these? And what does the future hold?
In this ambitious, end-of-year town hall for the news industry, INMA will focus on how generative AI is re-writing the operations and best practices of news media companies. We will spotlight what INMA has learned through Year 1 of its GenAI Initiative.
This two-hour event on Wednesday, November 13, will cover the latest trends, use cases, and best practices for GenAI from INMA with guidance from key thinkers and practitioners at the Financial Times, Times Internet, and the Future Today Institute.
The town hall will be a practical distillation of what INMA members have learned in the past year – and a sneak peek into the subject in 2025.
The Generative AI Town Hall by the International News Media Association (INMA) represents a report card to members and the news industry we serve about what our network has learned in 2024 about the most important subject in media. The GenAI Town Hall is based on the learnings distilled by Sonali Verma, GenAI Initiative lead for INMA, across more than 125 meetings delving into best practices focused on efficiencies and productivity in newsrooms, advertising and marketing, and operations.
