Best practices, case studies, and practical advice from the GNI European Subscriptions Academy 2022

With this Media Subscriptions Town Hall, we aim to strengthen digital capabilities and growing reader revenue of news publishers in Europe and internationally.

We will share learnings from the GNI European Subscriptions Academy 2022, feature thought leadership and expertise of Google, FT Strategies, and showcase achievements of the participating publishers from across Europe.

Case studies include:

  • National news brands, such as The Irish Times, Jutarnji list in Croatia, and La Repubblica in Italy
  • Local news brands, such as Hamburger Abendblatt in Germany
  • Business news brands, such as Handelszeitung in Switzerland and Dziennik Gazeta Prawna in Poland
  • Magazine news brands, such as Der Spiegel in Germany,
  • Digital-only news outlets, such as Observador in Portugal.

During an intensive two-and-a-half hour session, you will learn about market-winning strategies and tactics, and come away with practical ideas you could and should try at your organisation.

After the Town Hall, you will also receive a free copy of a new report by FT Strategies about best practices in the governance of subscription programs.

This Town Hall is hosted by INMA, but the program is developed together with experts from Google and FT Strategies. The livestream will be moderated by INMA’s researcher-in-residence Greg Piechota.
