Hotel

The Marriott Marquis in New York’s Times Square is the Official Hotel of the INMA World Congress. This is where pre-Congress board meetings and the Brainsnack Seminar will be held. This is where shuttle buses to off-site venues will depart.

Free Shuttle

A free shuttle between the Marriott Marquis and The TimesCenter will be provided in the mornings and afternoons Monday and Tuesday. Otherwise, the TimesCenter is a quick eight-minute walk from the Marriott Marquis. Similarly, a free shuttle will be provided between the Marriott Marquis and the opening reception at The Lighthouse at Pier 60. The INMA Awards Dinner at The Edison Ballroom is within a one-minute walk of the Marriott Marquis.

What is the attire?

Dress for the INMA World Congress is business casual except the Awards Dinner which is black-tie optional.

What is the weather like in New York in May?

May is the best weather time of the year for New York, typically between 60°F (15°C) and 80°F (27°C). Rain can be a factor.

Will there be simultaneous interpretation?

The World Congress will be presented in English and simultaneously interpreted in Spanish. If there is sufficient demand for additional languages, INMA will consider adding those languages for simultaneous interpretation.

How do I get to the Marriott Marquis from the airport?

Three airports service New York (typical taxi fares to Marriott Marquis):

  • John F. Kennedy International Airport (US$40)
  • LaGuardia Airport (US$40)
  • Newark International Airport (US$75)

Transportation options range from shuttles to taxis to limos. We strongly recommend Uber. There is not a rental car facility at the Marriott Marquis, but the concierge can assist you with nearby rental cars.

Can I bring my spouse or a guest to the World Congress?

Share your business trip to New York with a spouse or guest by registering them for the Welcome Reception at Pier Sixty and The Lighthouse and the Awards Dinner at The Edison Ballroom. Tickets may be purchased online, and it is strongly recommended to reserve a seat in advance for the Awards Dinner as a sellout is expected. Due to limited space at The TimesCenter, only full Congress attendees can attend the sessions.
