Borrell Local Online Advertising Conference
Gordon Borrell, CEO of Borrell Associates Inc., summed up the theme of the 2012 Local Online Advertising Conference within the first five minutes: “The old method of doing business doesn’t really hold up much anymore,” he said to more than 500 attendees seated in the Manhattan Grand Hyatt’s ballrooms in New York City.
Traditional advertising as we know it is becoming “old hat.”
For example, Borrell Associates predicts by 2016, 88% of all local online advertising will be delivered via mobile device. Targeted online display advertising is expected to grow 868% from 2011 to 2016, and non-targeted online display is expected to decrease 59%.
