The Newspaper Association of America (NAA) held its annual mediaXchange conference in Dallas, focusing on the next frontier of media: digitalisation, dissemination, and monetisation. Professionals shared innovative ideas with colleagues, in addition to showcasing digital audience and revenue development strategies that have generated readership and advertiser growth.
The conference’s opening remarks were given by NAA Chairman Mark Contreras, senior vice president/newspapers of the E.W. Scripps Company, who implored the audience to not just get together to talk about doing things, but to do the things they talk about doing. That opening set the tone for the weekend conference, which was focused on being motivated, proactive and forward-thinking.
INMA sent correspondent Stephanie Durham to cover this event, and this is her report.
