WAN-Ifra’s World Newspaper Advertising Congress was held in February in Malta, focusing on how newspaper advertising executives could maximise their share of a smaller market in the wake of the financial meltdown. Attended by more than 200 newspaper publishers and advertising executives from 47 countries, the conference provided a variety of new perspectives on increasing yields of existing revenues and opening up new strategic plans for newspaper advertising.

The conference touched on ongoing trends and developments in newspaper advertising, providing insight into market research, print advertising, cross-media strategies, and the new world of tablet computers.
