Damian has worked across media, retail, and financial services in various executive roles – notably as
CMO of a top Australian retailer, bank, and media company.
Today, Damian is global head of transformation of News Corp and is based in New York. Previously,
he served as chief operating officer, publishing, managing director metro and regional publishing,
and group marketing director for News Corp Australia from 2015 to 2020.
From 2002 to 2010, Damian served in various marketing, financial services, supply chain, and logistics
roles for Australia’s David Jones department store before joining Westpac Retail & Business Bank as their
general manager for strategic marketing.
He also has served on the boards of ADMA, Carsguide.com.au, and the Australian news industry body, NewsMediaWorks/Readership Works.
INMA background
Damian joined the INMA Board of Directors in May 2014, was elected Vice President in May 2017, and has served as President since
May 2019 – the first person in INMA’s nine-decade history to serve three years in the top volunteer leadership position.
During his INMA presidency, which concluded May 31, 2022, Damian helped guide INMA through the pandemic and focused
on the relationship between publishers and Big Tech. He will serve as Immediate Past President of INMA, part of the
association’s Executive Committee, through May 31, 2024.
