Welcome to INMA’s World Congress Blog, whose aim is to keep members and the news industry at large updated on the many moving parts of the association’s premier event.
The hotel is located between Central Park and Times Square in the center of Manhattan’s Midtown business and entertainment district. This is easily within walking distance of a bevy of theaters, restaurants, and shops.
The conference is structured for those who want to maximize their time for a trip often half-way across the world, as well as those who are time-pressed and time away from the office is a premium.
For the time-pressed, we encourage you to arrive Sunday afternoon and depart Tuesday evening – sufficient time to attend the main conference plenary sessions and attend social functions.
For those who want to maximize the trip, INMA has scheduled:
- Pre-Conference: A pre-conference Brainsnack Seminar — consisting of quick, fast-paced newspaper best-practice case studies — on Sunday morning, May 15.
- Post-Conference: A post-conference executive briefing by top executives involved with audience, advertising, brand and digital with the Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones on Wednesday morning, May 18.
- Awards Dinner: Those staying for the Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones executive briefing will, no doubt, want to attend the INMA Awards Dinner Tuesday night, May 17.
Check back to this space for continued updates in the weeks and months ahead.
