In a country where small enterprises drive big change, Amar Ujala, an Indian media group, launched a national campaign called “MSME for Bharat.”
The initiative intended to offer a fresh direction to micro-, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs), empowering them to compete globally while carrying forward the vision of “Vocal for Local.”

The campaign reached its crescendo with the MSME for Bharat Conclave, Expo & Awards 2025, held on October 9, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The conclave brought together more than 700 delegates, 22 industry leaders, 60 awardees, and nine exhibiting companies, creating a vibrant platform to celebrate the innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit powering India’s growth story.
A nationwide movement
Unlike traditional one-day summits, MSME for Bharat evolved into a month-long movement, spanning 27 events across 26 cities in eight states. It attracted several local and regional leaders including governors, administrators, and ministers.
From Varanasi to Jammu, regional chapters called MSME Manthan (“the churning of ideas”) became hubs where entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators exchanged insights, tackled challenges, and celebrated success stories shaping the future of India’s enterprise landscape.
The campaign engaged more than 7,000 entrepreneurs, achieved a print reach of 28 million people, and generated more than 10 million digital impressions. It was one of the year’s largest entrepreneurship-focused awareness initiatives.
“India’s MSME sector is not just about business; it’s about aspirations, livelihoods, and the indomitable spirit of Bharat,” said Dr. Indu Shekhar Pancholi, editor at Amar Ujala. “This initiative reflects our commitment to giving these voices a national platform where vision meets action.”
Leadership and insights
The grand finale brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and change makers under one roof.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami noted the importance of such initiatives. “MSMEs are the backbone of India’s growth story,” Dhami said. “Initiatives like this connect enterprises with opportunity and innovation with impact.”
The global nature of the digital transition was an overarching theme. Rajnish Kumar, chairman of fintech company BharatPe, for example, highlighted how the transformation from manual to digital banking changed the business landscape.
“Digital is not just about selling; it’s about experimenting, learning, and growing smarter,” said Irwin Anand, CEO of Nimbus Post. Popular influencers also pointed out how digital growth opened opportunities in the creator economy.
Other leaders noted how public-private partnerships can reduce costs, improve credit flow, and build customised financial solutions. A former cricketer emphasised the importance of discipline and hunger.
Celebrating innovation and enterprise
The MSME for Bharat Expo showcased companies from green energy, manufacturing, digital transformation, e-commerce, and financial services sectors. It was a vibrant collaboration hub where entrepreneurs met investors, innovators connected with enablers, and new partnerships were forged.
The MSME for Bharat Awards 2025 honoured 60 outstanding enterprises across 12 categories, celebrating excellence in innovation, exports, employment generation, renewable energy, and traditional businesses.
