Upcoming Webinar: The failures and successes of GenAI experiments
INMA News Blog | 04 May 2025
As news media companies become more comfortable with using generative AI, they’re learning more about what it can — and cannot — do well.
During this week’s Webinar, GenAI experiments: successes and failures in newsrooms, INMA members will hear from two companies about what’s worked and what hasn’t.
Presented by the INMA Generative AI Initiative and moderated by Sonali Verma, lead of the initiative, the Webinar will feature presentations from Mathias Høibakk Bergquist, head of editorial AI at Amedia, and Chris Moran, head of editorial innovation at The Guardian.
Both companies have experimented with AI, and Amedia now has a remarkable 50% adoption rate of AI tools among its journalists.
Bergquist will share the tools the company has built and explain what results they have yielded. Moran will discuss the many ways The Guardian has experimented with GenAI and share what those experiments have taught them and what could have gone better.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about how GenAI can improve newsroom operations from two leaders on the leading edge of this technology.
