Upcoming Webinar: Media24 explains how it reached a niche subscriber market

Creating a solid media subscription model for a niche market poses a challenge for news media companies. It requires constantly innovating to attract subscribers who are already spending their money on non-news subscriptions.

During this week’s Webinar, Henriëtte Loubser, editor-in-chief of Media24s portal, Netwerk24, will talk about the company’s journey to develop new subscription models.

As South Africa’s largest subscription-based media site in Afrikaans, Netwerk24 has spent the past four years beefing up its multimedia portfolio to offer subscribers a broader pool of attractive options that include innovative infotainment, entertainment, and edutainment.

During Subscription models for a niche market: lessons from Media24, Loubser will talk about some of the clever collaborations it created with partners both inside and outside of Media24, which is Netwerk24’s parent company. While such collaborations were integral to its success, they also created certain new challenges. Loubser will talk about the many obstacles the company had to overcome and will also explain how multimedia content has allowed Netwerk24 to reach new audiences.
