For the final Town Hall of 2025, INMA’s Product & Tech Initiative will look at what it has learnt during the year and what to expect in 2026. Jodie Hopperton, lead of the initiative, will present insights drawn from the year’s events, member case studies, and conversations with product and technology executives to share what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next.

Following Hopperton’s introduction, the Town Hall will offer three presentations tackling some of the most critical issues facing product and tech leaders today:

  • Katharine Bailey, global head of product and design at Condé Nast, and Riske Betten, B2C product director at Mediahuis Netherlands, will explore how leading publishers are sharpening focus, cutting distraction, and designing products around core customers to drive loyalty, yield, and long-term sustainability.
  • Lucy Alexander, director of insight & analytics for the Financial Times, will share how the FT is preparing for a future where traditional search plays a smaller role. She’ll also reveal what new strategies are emerging to protect reach, relevance, and revenue.
  • Pundi Sriram, chief product officer at The Hindu, and Kara Chiles, senior vice president product at USA Today Co., will share how AI products are being built, tested, and scaled inside these two major news organisations. They will also discuss what is delivering measurable value today and explore where expectations still outpace reality.

In addition to sharing lessons from INMA’s Media Tech & AI Week in San Francisco, Hopperton will wrap up the Town Hall with a look to the future. She’ll explain the initiative’s product and tech priorities for 2026 and outline new programmes and emerging themes that will lead INMA members into the next phase of growth and change.
