To wrap up the year, INMA initiative leads will present a series of Town Halls to offer recaps on where the news media industry stands and where it’s headed. Kicking off on Wednesday with the Generative AI Initiative Town Hall, the two-hour event will include a look at use cases that have paid off, approaches for AI scaling and adoption, and what’s next for GenAI and the media.

Guest speakers will share their experiences, beginning with Jessica Davis of Gannett, who will share how news automation is evolving from experimental to essential. Ole Reissmann from Spiegel-Gruppe will offer a European perspective, showing how AI is being woven into editorial workflows with precision and purpose.

From India, Abhishek Sharma of HT Digital will share how GenAI is driving product innovation and audience engagement at scale. And Sonali Verma, who has led INMA’s Generative AI Initiative throughout 2025, will guide attendees through the strategic frameworks and ethical considerations that are shaping the future of responsible AI in media.

Whether you’re just beginning your GenAI journey or are already deep in experimentation, this event offers a rare chance to learn from peers, ask questions, and imagine what’s next.
