INMA is launch launching an Elevate Africa Initiative for 2025 that aims to empower Africa’s media professionals through regional training and mentoring and identify the next generation of media leaders.

The Elevate Africa Initiative will feature:

Four free virtual summits

Africa Elevate Scholarship

Accelerating careers and fostering community through mentorship of high-potential young professionals from news media companies in Africa. Deadline to apply for the scholarship: April 16.

Africa Emerging Leaders

Identifying and rewarding the next generation of news media leaders in Africa. Deadline to apply for the programme: October 3.

“INMA envisions two core challenges for news media in Africa: access to training and identifying and retaining young professional talent,” said Earl J. Wilkinson, executive director and CEO of INMA. “INMA’s Africa Advisory Board has created this agenda to meet these needs in the year ahead.”

Since 2020, INMA has conducted free virtual summits and Webinars that have attracted more than 3,000 media professionals from throughout Africa.
