In a world where media consumption is constantly evolving, InnovateMedia has set out to redefine advertising.

Emerging from the established news publishers Nordwest-Zeitung Verlagsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG and Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung GmbH & Co. KG, InnovateMedia bridges the gap between traditional media and modern marketing by offering tailored, 360-degree sales solutions.

What began as the media solutions department within Nordwest Mediengruppe in 2022 quickly grew into a bold new concept. The idea: to sell holistic advertising solutions that extend far beyond conventional print ads.

After a successful pilot phase in partnership with Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung GmbH & Co. KG in November 2023, InnovateMedia was officially founded in July 2024. It has evolved from a traditional newspaper publisher into a modern media company.

Tackling traditional structures and new expectations

The transformation was not without its challenges. Changing entrenched internal structures, reshaping team mindsets, and building bridges between traditional print logic and data-driven advertising strategies required patience, persistence, and a clear vision.

One of our biggest hurdles was aligning decades-old workflows with the speed and complexity of modern digital campaigns.

Additionally, convincing long-time print customers of the value of digital and cross-media strategies involved trust-building and education. Many clients were initially hesitant, unsure how newer formats like influencer marketing or targeted online ads could replace their reliable print placements.

InnovateMedia’s approach is as diverse as the industries it serves. From energy and finance to healthcare, the company dives deep into sector-specific needs, crafting custom strategies that blend owned media, digital marketing, influencer campaigns,
and more.

By breaking down the boundaries between media agency and newspaper publisher, we offer our clients customised solutions that go far beyond traditional advertising.

The move to the Technology and Start-up Center Oldenburg (TGO) symbolises more than just a change of scenery; it highlights a commitment to innovation and collaboration. This dynamic environment fosters networking with other startups, encouraging mutual support and growth.

Results that speak volumes

In just a few months, InnovateMedia has delivered remarkable results:

  • 5 new customers.
  • €135,000 in new customer sales. A growth rate of 8%.
  • Notably, 60% of this revenue comes from owned media and 40% from paid media. Our goal is to generate €20 million in paid media revenue.

One standout success story is our collaboration with Evers Schuh & Fußgesundheit GmbH. Previously focused on print advertising, InnovateMedia guided the company towards a digital transformation, resulting in a 10% increase in advertising investment and a shift to a 32% digital/out-of-home and 68% print media mix. 

This example shows how we managed to successfully transfer a traditional print customer to the digital world and help achieve sustainable growth.

Looking ahead

With 45 annual agreements signed and more than 84 demand-oriented, cross-media advertising concepts already implemented, InnovateMedia’s trajectory points firmly towards continued innovation and expansion.
