Back in 2015, under the editorship of the business newspaper Handelsblatt, the youth portal Orange was launched. And Orange has delighted young people and students ever since.

Orange is an energetic and inspiring platform for young, ambitious, business and technology savvy audiences who want to actively shape their futures. Orange inspires with exciting and relatable stories from the lives of the target group and provides an overview of the individual opportunities that young motivated people have — as long as they are courageous and dare to act.

At the same time, Orange breaks down the complexity of business and economics and presents them in a simple way. Economic expertise is disseminated to the young target group, who then make better decisions in life and reveal their best selves. The main focus is on information and inspiration, clever ideas, and encounters between people.

Orange offers inspiration and exciting content in three dimensions: digital, print, and live.

To get into the best possible exchange with this audience, popular digital channels used by the young generation are used as outlets for Orange content. Orange is available as a newsletter on WhatsApp and in the form of a podcast, as well as on the most popular channels such as Instagram and YouTube. Orange scores particularly well in the target group with moving images, reaching 600,000 people every month.

What started in digital form was transferred to a print magazine, titled #start by Orange, in November 2018. There are five print issues per year devoted to individual topics, ranging from graduation to changing jobs as a young professional. Per issue, Orange captivates 200,000 young people between the ages of 18 and 29.

Orange’s live event, “Building My Tomorrow,” attracted 300 young attendees.

Since November 2018, young people have also responded positively to our Orange Spirit live events. Under the motto “Building My Tomorrow,” 300 young business enthusiasts were brought together for exciting guest speakers, such as Gyde Jensen, Sigmar Gabriel, Frank Thelen, and Miriam Wohlfahrt.

More than a newspaper, Orange also serves as a contact point for discussion, experiences, and fun. In 2019, the success story is set to be continued.
