Grupo Dutriz offers patrons a side of news with their coffee

Grupo Dutriz, one of El Salvador’s largest publishing groups, launched its most recent investment concept, Media Café, on Santa Elena Boulevard in the city of Antiguo Cuscatlán.

The publishers’ novel concept draws on the interest in linking information and a cup of coffee.

Jose Roberto Dutriz, president of Grupo Dutriz, is confident about the uniqueness of this concept in El Salvador and about the promise of the highest-quality standards both in coffee as well as the ingredients that complete the range of products offered at the new establishment.

“The idea was born from the realisation of a synergy between sharing information and enjoying a cup of high-quality coffee,” says Dutriz, also a coffee producer and exporter. “There is no better way of staying informed than over a cup of coffee”.

Media Café is located in the commercial center that houses the new store of the Super Selectos supermarket chain. The entrepreneur highlights that the new supermarket has been built on premises belonging to the publishing group in line with a vision that “brings together two leading companies in the country,” Dutriz says.

His idea was to introduce a coffee house concept that “would attract a valuable group of consumers, who appreciate the combination of shopping at this leading retailer and the enjoyment of a good cup of coffee.”

Media Café offers its visitors a range of at least 18 different beverages and desserts. Yet the unique value proposition of this coffee store lies in the opportunity for consumers to access real-time information through the four smart display monitors available in the establishment.

These monitors will share news published in the three main products of the Dutriz publishing group: La Prensa Gráfica, El Grafico, and Mi Chero. Moreover, the store offers cable TV for live news viewing and complimentary Wi-Fi. The group’s wide selection of magazines will also be available for purchase at Media Café.

Despite currently focusing on its recent opening, Media Café is already envisioning expansion plans for the future.
