Leading conversations about innovation and technology for business in the Brazilian market is the driving premise of the partnership between Embratel, one of the largest providers of integrated connectivity and IT solutions in Brazil, and G.Lab, Editora Globo’s branded content studio.
In five years of working together, their productions have become increasingly sophisticated and multiplatform to handle a demanding audience, which has become more digital and distracted, especially in the post-pandemic period.
The Web series, “Let’s enable the next level,” now in its second season and with five episodes, is the result of this evolution.
Published on the Web site, YouTube channel, and LinkedIn of Valor Econômico, the largest economy and business newspaper in Brazil, the second season of the Web series was launched in November 2022. In addition, the production has short 30-second versions made exclusively for broadcast on GloboNews, the largest Brazilian news channel.
Since its launch, the series has resonated with Valor’s audience: The five episodes have already surpassed 183,000 views on its YouTube channel and, on the Web site, branded content with embedded videos surpassed 251,000 page views. The one-minute promotional versions, published on LinkedIn, have more than 353,000 views.
“Let’s enable the next level” is presented by scientist Silvio Meira, one of the country’s biggest names in technology and a board member of multiple large Brazilian companies. Silvio led conversations about the next level of innovation in organisations with relevant voices from the market and academia on industry 4.0, retail, smart cities, health, and public administration.
The Web series’ first season was produced and aired in 2021 when COVID-19 restrictions were still in effect, and it required mostly remote recordings. With the end of those restrictions, production has expanded its scope, being able to present the innovations that are changing the face of business from each location.
The season two premiere episode shows the first private 5G network in Brazil in the most modern Nestlé chocolate factory in Latin America, in the countryside of the State of São Paulo, where the famous KitKat is produced. G.Lab recorded on site, showing in detail how the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence automate factories, making production more accurate and efficient.
The CEO of the food multinational explained in the video how the partnership with Embratel was important for this advance.
With this idea of showing how innovation impacts day-to-day business, the Web series explores Industry 4.0 in the second episode, bringing examples from Gerdau, the largest steel producer in Brazil, and Ambev, a member of the largest beer manufacturer on the planet. In the third, the challenges of a hybrid physical and digital retail with Magalu, a national giant in the sector, are discussed.
In the following episode, we went to Stanford University (U.S.) to talk to one of the world’s leading experts in the digitalisation of health, as well as listening to a major operator in the market, Hapvida NotreDame Intermédica.
Season two ends with a rich discussion of how smart cities can provide efficient services for citizens and businesses. The episode featured the participation of the mayor of one of the largest Brazilian cities, Recife, who pointed out how digitisation was important in the vaccination of COVID-19.
With the gathering of such relevant figures for the market in these five episodes, discussing current and fundamental challenges to the business, “Let’s enable the next level” fulfills its objective of giving Embratel a leading role in the debate on innovation.
