“Before 2017 we had three different business units, pretty much like two different companies,” Petterle said. Those units were newspaper, radio, and television.
At that time each unit was completely independent of the other, but since 2017 they have merged to be one unit.
“When I was at the newspaper, I would take care of the entire business,” including the revenues, Petterle said. With the merger, however, Petterle’s position is responsible for product and operations, consumer revenue, digital, operations, IT — basically everything except marketing and sales.
“It is very different. It is a new position because of the merger,” she said.
