Maria Delmas, editorial executive at Editora Globo in Brazil, spoke at the INMA Media Subscriptions Summit in London about the takeaways she had gleaned from the study tour.
“It’s very interesting because you can see the newsroom and see the transformation and see the engagement of the teams,” Delmas said. She added that the biggest challenge she sees for media companies today is how to create revenue in a digital environment.
“We are exchanging ideas with those newsrooms [in the study tour] and understand, for example, how they are using new products such as travel sections.”
She was also interested to hear how the companies on the tour are using metrics to understand their strategies for new revenue.
