Challenge of Grupo RBS merger: combining cultures from 2 business divisions

Speaking at the INMA Media Subscriptions Summit in Stockholm earlier this year, Andiara Petterle shared some of the most challenging aspects of the recent Grupo RBS merger.

When merging two separate, independent business departments of the company, Petterle said that one of the  most difficult things was merging two cultures from each organisation.

“Each business unit, or each company, had their own culture, their own metrics, their own way to manage people,” Petterle said. “The hardest part was really to become one single company aligned, with the same practices ... and having the same vision, actually.”
