Kerstin Hasse is a digital media leader specialising in newsroom innovation and user-centered storytelling. She is passionate about bringing diverse teams together to create journalism that informs and inspires. Kerstin previously served as a managing editor at Tages-Anzeiger in Switzerland – the youngest woman ever appointed to this role – where she led cross-functional teams in audio, video, social media, data storytelling, and product collaboration while co-hosting the podcast “TagesAnzeigerin.”

A Sulzberger alumna of Columbia University (2024), she has shaped numerous innovative storytelling formats and built loyal communities around podcasts, newsletters, and participatory journalism. Through her journalistic experience, Kerstin has gained deep insight into how younger audiences navigate news today — from creator-driven media models to community-based engagement. She is also the creator and host of the emerging podcast and newsletter “Hasse mit Liebe,” which explores zeitgeist topics through accessible and community-oriented storytelling.

She represents a new generation of journalists who approach their work as a brand and maintain close dialogue with their community. The growing creator economy is a focus area she explores intensively in her work as a digital strategist.
