In addition to her role as INMA's Newsroom Transformation Initiative lead, Amalie Nash is a senior advisor for the National Trust for Local News in the United States.

Based today in Denver, Colorado, Amalie previously served at Gannett | USA Today Network in various capacities during the past decade, most recently as senior vice president of local news and audience development. Previous Gannett assignments include vice president of local news, executive editor of local news, and West regional executive editor. Prior to that, Amalie was editor and vice president of engagement for The Des Moines Register. Earlier in her career, she worked in editorial capacities at the Detroit Free Press and Ann Arbor News.

In her time at Gannett | USA Today Network, Amalie worked on the very issues at the heart of INMA�s Newsroom Transformation Initiative. For example, she was responsible for evolving a 250+ publication news division from a page view model to a revenue-diversified model blending growing subscription revenue with advertising. In addition, she developed content strategies, collaborated with sales on revenue opportunities, and accelerated growth to 2 million digital-only subscribers.
