Special Projects

English | Español

INMA annually engages in projects beyond the parameters of content and fraternity. Below are some of those special projects, big and small.

INMA explores the thousands of academic papers and selects a few for their highest relevance to today's newspaper business.

Look at circulation and advertising information from national markets worldwide, including some of INMA's private analyses.

An essay contest by INMA between 2000 and 2003 honouring outstanding visions of newspapers by executives at daily newspapers worldwide. Click above to read all first place and finalist essays from the four-year scholarship programme.

A three-year project to empower senior newspaper executives with market-based management tools that will grow revenue, profits, and share faster was launched in 2003.

See dozens of newspaper front pages from the September 11 terrorist attacks.

From 1995 to 2003, the INMA.org Guestbook represented a global greeting page for visitors to the association's web site. The Guestbook was "retired" in 2003 due to site privacy concerns.

The "total newspaper" is a philosophy that describes an interacting editorial, advertising and circulation operation growing out of the fulfillment of special social service functions, applied to the market the newspaper serves. The concept was the central intellectual tenet of INMA from 1969 to 1990, from which spawned many projects.
