INMA European Conference, in cooperation with OPA Europe, will be held on October 19-21 in Cascais (Lisbon) and will bring together a European audience to explore the best practices of European newsmedia companies as they aim to grow audience, advertising, and brand across platforms in a rebounding and profoundly changed economy.

A famous hockey-player once said "I don't go where the puck is, I go to where the puck will be!" We believe newsmedia need to do the same! Hence the topic for the 2011 INMA European Conference is “Stay Ahead Of Your Audience.

Digital is the future, but print still provides a nice bit of revenue for (most) newsmedia companies. The programme of the INMA European Conference 2011 finds the right balance between the two. In the INMA spirit of Sharing Ideas, Inspiring Change, you will learn from case studies around the world: watch out for our renowned «Brainsnack sessions»!.

    A Brainsnack Session exists of several short presentations (each just 7 minutes) immediately after each other with Q&A and debate afterwards. This is a very successful way of presenting cases both for the speakers and the audience. It forces the speaker to be to-the-point and keeps the audience very focused throughout the presentation. INMA has used these sessions at several conferences over the last 2 years, including the 2011 World Congress and it has becomes one of the favorite sessions of delegates at all INMA conferences.
