Paperview and TXT announce merger

Brussels 1 March 2006 - The boards of Paperview and TXT announced the merger of their activities to become a new force in the provision of specialist marketing and publishing solutions for the French Newspaper market. The new entity will trade under the name of Paperview France.

Paperview France will be the leading provider of high value newspaper and marketing solutions in the French market. Its geographic, customer and product presence as well as it's enhanced financial strength will enable it to drive organic growth and the range of services it provides in the short term.

Paperview France's future growth will benefit from:

  • the existing strong momentum and prospects for both Paperview and TXT;
  • enhanced revenue opportunities arising from new products and brand extensions across the enlarged Group's markets;
  • a well balanced portfolio of assets combined with robust commercial and project management operations;
  • economies of scale in terms of product development and market reach.

The board of Paperview France will reflect the complementary skills and experience of the senior management of the two groups. The combined management team has broad experience of business integration and organic growth delivery, both in the France and internationally across multiple markets. The board will comprise:

Maximilian Weiner, CEO (Paperview Group)
Cedric van den Abeele, Managing Director (Paperview Group)
Patrick Vicard, Managing Director (TXT France)
Gabor Weiner, Managing Director (Paperview UK)
Alexandre Lippens, non-executive director (Paperview Group)

Says Maximilian Weiner, "We are delighted that we have managed to bring this off. In doing so, we have consolidated our position in the market place and have further re-enforced our abilities to deliver relevant and effective solutions to our clients. We are confident that we will be able to pass through the benefits of the merger not only in terms of service and product flow, but also in terms of remaining the most competitive company in the French market for our clients".
