Finalists in the INMA Awards 2011 competition, the global news industry's premier showcase of marketing excellence, were announced today.

In total, 90 marketing campaigns from 72 newspapers in 21 countries have been selected as finalists.

From these finalists, 30 first place award recipients across three circulation groups in 10 categories will be publicly announced on Tuesday evening, May 17, at the 81st Annual INMA World Congress at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in New York. The awards announcements will take place during the awards dinner and will be capped by the presentation of the prestigious “Best Of Show” award.

Each finalist will appear in the special industry report “Best In Newsmedia Marketing,” a multi-media publication chronicling the INMA Awards competition honourees.

The INMA Awards competition was judged by an international jury of industry experts involved with media companies, advertising agencies, trade magazines, and more. Judges came from Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Canada, India, Italy, Poland, Russia, Spain, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

“When you realise the thousands of marketing campaigns conducted by news companies worldwide that 90 stood above them all according to a judging by peers, that says so much about the finalists in this year's INMA Awards competition,” said Earl J. Wilkinson, executive director and CEO of INMA.

Who are the first place recipients of the INMA Awards competition? Who will win the “Best of Show” award? Attend the INMA World Congress May 15-17 in New York and learn first-hand.
