Highlights include:

  • Michael Phelps, chief executive officer of the Washington Examiner in the United States, was elected president.

  • Ravi Dhariwal, chief executive officer/publishing of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. in India, was elected vice president.

Scott Stines, president of Iowa-based e-mail marketing company mass2one, was re-elected treasurer. Ed Efchak, managing director and senior consultant with Belden Interactive in the United States, steps down as president and assumes the role as immediate past president.

Phelps' term begins June 1 and expires May 31, 2011. Dhariwal will succeed Phelps and serve as president in 2011-2013.
